Ather 450x: Design
The front profile of the Ather 450X stands out in front of the crowd, you can see the blacked-out handlebar with LED DRLs and blinkers. The apron is carrying a triangular shape in the middle you get a big sized LED headlight housing with LED DRL’s. Below that the good looking 12 inches alloy wheels add to the looks of the electric scooter.
On the side, you can’t find anything special instead of the short and sweet branding of Ather. If we talk about the rear profile of this electric scooter, you can see a C shaped LED strip with a little extension of blinkers. It gives the scooter a different look. Below that there is a space for a number plate and reflectors.
Ather 450x: Ride and Comfort
In the front, you get telescopic suspensions and in the rear, you get a mono-shock suspension. This really helps to provide you with a smooth ride. This scooter has a low center of gravity which really makes this scooter ride quite balanced. It gives you so much confidence while cornering and at high speeds. On the smooth roads, it glides but in the rough roads, you feel bumps because of the firm rear suspension.
The seat of the Ather 450X is quite soft which is fine, if it will be on the firmer side it will provide you comfort while riding. The shape of the seat looks good but for the rider, it might create little discomfort because of the descending shape.
The seat height is of Ather 450x is 770 mm. It is very comfortable for the average height of Indian people. Even girls and ladies can also ride scooters comfortably.

Ather 450X comes with a feature of park assist, for this you have to select the park assist feature from the instrument console and by giving the acceleration you can go reverse up to 3 kmph speed.

On the floorboard, you get good space with a hook to carry your bags. You can easily carry big bags here on the floorboard. You get a good amount of under-seat space (26 lt). Here you have lots of space, you can also put your full-face helmet here. In this boot, you also get a LED light which is really helpful at the night.

You get a big-sized (7 inches) touch screen instrument panel that offers lots of functionalities and provides you with so much information regarding the scooter. The display is very nice, you can easily see the display in the sunshine.
On the home screen, you can see the odometer, trimeter, Avg. speed, Battery status, Estimated range, riding modes, and speedometer.
You can use GPS functionality, it also shows you nearby charging stations and you don’t have to worry to carry any document like Registration, insurance, or anything because you can keep all these documents in your scooter digitally and you show it to anyone on your scooter screen when required.

Motor
The power output of Ather 450x is 3.3 kWh continuous / 6 kWh on peak and the torque is 26 nm which is not given by any petrol / electric scooter in this segment. The motor is IP66 certified which makes it water and dust resistant so that you can take your scooter anywhere without any tension.

Ather 450x uses the upmarket Lithium-ion battery in their electric scooter previously they used 18,650 cells which were a generation older cells but now they started using 21,700 cells which are used by Tesla in their cars. The battery capacity is now 2.9 kwh, and the usable capacity of the battery is 2.6 kwh. It is IP67 certified which makes it dust and water-resistant. The battery comes in an aluminium alloy casing.
Range
The range of Ather 450x is 85 km in Eco mode and 70 km in Ride mode in full charge. If you charge this scooter on the fast chargers then it gives you good range with less charging time, if you charge it for 10 minutes then it gives you a 15 km range.
Charging
The home-based charger takes around 3 h 35 min to charge it 80% and if you want to charge it 100% it will take around 5 h 45 min.
You have two options in the charger one is the unit which will be fixed at your place and it is recommended by the company and the second is the portable charger which you can take anywhere. One charger is free with the scooter, you can choose anyone from it. If you want to buy both then you have to pay Rs 11,000 for the additional charger.
Warranty
You get three years warranty on the scooter and this scooter can carry up to 200 kg of weight.
Brakes
3 piston front disc brake with 200 mm disc by Bybare, This Ather 450X is not equipped with ABS but you get a combi brake system. This system helps in good braking but if you press the rear brake harder your tyre would be locked.
Tyres
Ather 450x offers MRF tubeless tyres which provide this scooter with a good grip. The front tyre is 100/80 r12 and the rear one 110/80 r12.
