Exterior of Maruti Suzuki Celerio 2021
The dimensions of the new Celerio are the same as the previous one but the width has a little bit of increase around 50 to 60 mm.
If you look at the front of the Celerio you can see some relatable elements of Alto and Swift Desire in it because of the single slat grille. The front is looking fine it is not much appealing but yes it looks like a smart family car. You get halogen headlamps and foglamps here, the previous generation Celerio didn’t offer foglamps.
The side profile of the Celerio is good some elements look like Baleno, here you get side indicators in the ORVM’s with a thing that seems like they just forgot to make a proper place for the request sensor and after making the car they just put it at the place.
The rear profile of the Celerio is nice looking. Maruti keeps it simple but sometimes keeping something simple works. You get a rear wiper, branding of Celerio and good looking tail lights. You also get a request sensor to open the boot, this is quite practical but the way it looks is not that great.
Overall if we conclude all the positives and negatives of Celerio 2021, I can say it is a practical car. You get everything you want as a family person or just want a car which can do everything efficiently.
Interiors of Maruti Suzuki Celerio 2021
When you get in the car, you see a busy cabin. You can see so many buttons, lines and curves. You get so many buttons like hazard, lock and unlock and for both front windows. You will not get good quality plastic, even the steering is also looking too simple. In my opinion, at least leather-wrapped steering must be given at this Rs 5 Lakh price point. You get tilt steering but not telescopic.
You get a mixture of analogue and digital in the instrument console. It looks old school but neat and good. You get a 7 inches touch screen infotainment system with the functionality of android auto and apple car play. This touch screen system is available only in the Zxi Plus variant, in the Zxi variant you get a two din music system. Four speakers are standard with the Zxi series but below this variant, you will not get any music system and speaker.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio 2021: Space and Comfort
The front seats are fine, you can’t expect much in this price range. If you are a normal physic person then it’s fine but if you are on the little broader side then the seats might be a problem for you. Cushioning is also fine in the seats. On the driver side, in the Zxi variant, you get a height adjustment option which is good.
Manual IRVM is also given in the new Celerio 2021. The engine start-stop button and auto engine stop feature is also given in the car. You also get some good-sized pockets near the gear lever. Here you also find a 12-volt socket, USB and aux port is also given. Celerio also provides good space in the doors and fine-sized glove box.
In the Rear, you get good knee room and legroom. Two adults and a kid will be comfortable here. You also get a good headroom which is quite good for tall people. You don’t get an adjustable headrest and an armrest is also not given here.
You get a good-sized, 313 litres of boot space, which is bigger than the Hyundai i20. It is a commendable thing by Maruti.
Overall again Celerio proves itself a good spacious family car. Yes, there are some points which can be improved but it is what it is.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio 2021: Safety
The all-new Celerio 2021 has what’s new in it. It has everything new and it is made upon a new platform (HEARTECT PLATFORM) which is used in most of the cars of Maruti Suzuki. In Celerio 2021 you get good looking alloy wheels option in the top end. You get 15 inch Yokohama tyres in the top trim but in lower trims, you get 14-inch tyres. As a spare, you get a steel wheel with a 14-inch tyre in each variant.
Mileage
A third-party company has tested the Maruti Suzuki Celerio 2021 mileage test and on that results Maruti has claimed the fuel efficiency of Celerio is around 26.68 kmpl. If the Celerio will enter the market with this kind of fuel efficiency it will be a hit.
This fuel efficiency with the one-litre engine is possible because Maruti has managed the weight distribution in the car very smartly which really helps the car to give good mileage.
Engine
In Celerio new model you get a 1 litre K series 3 cylinder engine but Maruti has changed it a bit now it has two intake valves means now it becomes a 16 valves engine. Now it is called one litre K10C engine. It is a naturally aspirated engine that produces 67 BHP of power and 94 NM of torque.
Transmission
Here you get two transmission options with Celerio next-gen. One is a 5-speed manual and the second is 5 speed AMT. The previous generation Celerio was the first car with Maruti has introduced its AMT.
Hill hold feature is also given in the AMT variant which is a must be in the AMT variant otherwise it is tough to control a car in hills.
