There are so many people in today’s world who love the royal Enfield bullet 350 and buys it. The popularity of this bike is insane because when anyone buys any of the Royal Enfield bikes but he always says that he is gonna buy the “bullet” or “bullet standard”.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is a retro-styled motorcycle and it is the entry-level offering by the iconic bike maker. The popularity and cult following and enjoys, it’s even stronger than the brand it represents.

My confession

What makes reviewing bullet 350 so difficult is the fact that none of the normal parameters to review a motorcycle apply here because the audience that this bike caters to doesn’t care too much about upgrades and improvements.

Still, I will try my best.

History

royal Enfield bullet

In 1932 The legendary “Bullet 350” motorcycle is born. It is first displayed in November 1932 at the Olympia Motorcycle Show in London.

Looks

If we talk about the looks of bullet 350 it looks quite different and it still has its old-school charm. But some special things make it more appealing to buyers more than any other Royal Enfield bikes.

The 3D logos of Royal Enfield (shaped like a gun) and the special logos on the air filter cover have their own presence.

The yellow stripes of the tank of bullet 350 is still hand painted. It adds to the bike.

The tail light, I think this design is one of it’s kind.

Ride and Comfort

This bike is also known for its riding comfort. It has single seat which is quite wide and comfortable. This is seat is good for pillion also. So can do long rides with this bike very easily.

This bike also has soft suspension with the help of this it can easily tackle the bad roads make the ride smoother.

Color

This particular model had come in two colors one is black and the second is forest green but now the forest green color has been discontinued.

Other than this bullet 350 has now launched with two new colors first is onyx black and the second is bullet silver.

but these have some differences from the original bullet like it doesn’t have a hand-painted tank and it also doesn’t have a Royal Enfield emblem instead of this it has a simple Royal Enfield sticker.

Technical Overview

Here in this section of bullet 350 bs6, we will discuss some major technical specifications of the bike.

Engine

This bike of Royal Enfield is having its very old and classic UCE (unit construction engine). It is a single cylinder engine. This motor is 350 cc and produces 19.1 bhp on 5250 rpm. The main thing is the for which this motor is known for is torque, it produces 28 nm of torque at 400 rpm.

The torque of this motor helps to carry heavy luggage with the biker and go uphill.

EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection)

Royal Enfield standard 350 in bs4 had carburetor but now with the bs6 norms, it’s updated to EFI. With this EFI unit, the bike’s performance has increased and it becomes smoother and milage has also increased a bit.

The main enhancements with this EFI unit are the bike do not take much time to start in winters and and it gives 32 to 34 kmpl in city and 37 to 39 kmpl on highways.

Suspension

It has 35 mm telescopic front suspension and in the rear it has 5 step adjustable shock absorber.

This setup helps to give you the a comfortable ride.

Ground Clearance

This thing is very important for the bike riders who rides his bike to many different parts of the country. If the bike has good ground clearance then it can tackle the bumpy roads quite easily like most of the riders have a dream to ride their bike to Ladakh.

So don’t worry you can live your dream with this bike because this bike has 135 mm of ground clearance which adequate.

Seat Height

Royal Enfield bullet standard seat height is 800 mm. It is fine for an Indian average height person. If your height is 5.5 feet and above then you can easily handle this bike.

Fuel Capacity

Bullet 350 standard has a 13.5-liter fuel tank. With this fuel, it can give you near 480 km range on the highway.

Mileage of royal Enfield bullet bs6 is approximate 35 kmpl.

Brakes

Bullet 350 standard comes with single channel ABS (Anti-lock braking system). It has come with 280 mm disc in the front and 153 mm drum in the rear.

with the ABS the braking of this bike has improved tremendously.

Tyres

Here Royal Enfield give 19” tyres in both the wheels. Both are the tube tyres.

here I want to mention that the front tyre is fine but for more gripping on the corners, a little bit of fat tyre is required so do change the rear tyre before going on a long ride.

Price

The on-road price of bullet 350 is Rs. 1,57,843 at my place. You can check the latest price of your city – check it.

Pros.

  • Heritage
  • Comfortable
  • Great riding posture
  • Reliable
  • Easy to modify

Cons.

  • Vibrations
  • Tyres
  • Lights
  • Braking

What’s good

Royal Enfield bullet 350 2021 has its own unique USP which is its hand-painted tank. This tank is like the legacy of the company.

Basic equipments and simplicity that make this bike different from the others.

The overall design of the bike is old school which makes it an attention grabber.

What’s not

The first thing is the tyre which is a must, without a broader tyre it’s not a long ride bike.

The second thing is an electric start because for the daily commute we face so many signals on the go if self-start is given it is quite a useful feature.

Third is headlight, it is not enough for the night highway riding.

Especially in the bs6 model, customers are facing some issues with the ECU unit and some are facing the problem of engine shutdown at low speeds.

Improvements

Royal Enfield should change the rear tyre or give as an option for different tyre sizes and for alloy wheels.

Electric start is a merely subjective matter some people love this bike as it is and some don’t want any kind of upgrades though some people love to be the bike more practical with some useful options.

Royal Enfield should upgrade the light or they should come with an auxiliary light option as an accessory.

Verdict

In my opinion, Royal Enfield 350 standard is a classic. If you are a person who doesn’t want much geeky stuff like cool electronics etc. Then it will suits you well.

If we leave some fixable issues then I must say this is the bike you can trust and can travel anywhere you want with it.

At present Royal Enfield has so many showrooms and service centers in India, some are at very far places where you can’t find any other company’s showroom. So you have the edge that if you go on a long ride and some problem happened then you can reach the showrooms fast.
