The new Avenis sporty scooter has been launched by Suzuki Motorcycle India. The new sporty scooter is positioned as a direct competitor to the TVS NTorq and Honda Dio. It has a price of 86,700 rupees (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The scooter comes with a slew of new features that, according to the manufacturer, will appeal to the scooter’s intended audience of young people. It also comes with the Suzuki Smart Connect application, which enables it to connect to smartphones.

Suzuki Avenis looks

Suzuki Avenis comes with a sporty look and feel. You can see lots of edges and curves with dual-tone paintwork which help the scooter to look smarter and the best fit for young India. In the front of the Avenis you can see the blinkers on the handles and the big LED taillight is sat in the apron. The shape of the mudguard and alloy wheels really adds to the character of the scooter.

The side profile of the scooter adds to the style quotient of the scooter, you can see the dual-tone paint scheme with graphics and the badging of the Avenis with the brand name sticker near to the floorboard.

You get unique rear looks in the Avenis, here you get bike style indicators with dual LED tail lamps. Below these, you find a reflector and a space for the number plate.

Suzuki Avenis storage space

Storage space is the thing that makes a scooter more practical for daily life and Suzuki Avenis has lots of it.

At the rear of the apron, you get two cavities as a storage space. On the left, you get one-litre space with a lid and USB charger function so that you can charge your devices on the go. On the right, you have a rack of 1.6-litre capacity to store your things.

Two hooks are also placed in the legroom area which helps to carry your bags. With this you also get 21.8-litre under-seat storage space, here you can put your helmet, carry bags and anything protecting them from rain and dust.

The scooter will be available in four exciting colours for their standard and connect edition. These are :

  • Matte black with glass sparkle black

A Metallic Triton Blue colour is for the Race Edition edition that will be accessible across India. Suzuki racing graphics will be included in this Race Edition variant, which will appeal to the individual personality of an enthusiastic rider.

Suzuki Avenis engine

The new Suzuki Avenis is equipped with a 125cc FI engine. This motor has a peak power of 8.7 PS at 6750 rpm and torque production of 10Nm at 5500 rpm. The scooter is only 106 kg in weight.
