Ola S1 and S1 pro is based on the etergo app scooter which was an electric scooter which was manufactured by Amsterdam-based EV startup Etergo BV that Ola acquired last year.

Ola is also establishing a fully automated world-class factory to manufacture its electric products with a higher level of excellence.

Ola claims to be building the world’s largest two-wheeler charging network, named the Ola Hyper Charging Network. They plan to deploy 100k or more chargers in 400 cities as part of this program.

Technical Overview

Motor

Ola is using the good quality belt-driven motor in their electric scooters. The motor is 5.5 KW which produces a peak power of 8.5 KW. The torque is 58 NM which really helps to give the scooter a punchy ride.

Ola S1 has two driving modes Normal and Sports. On the other hand, Ola S1 Pro offers three riding modes, Normal, Sports, and Hyper.

Ola has tuned the same 5.5 KW motor differently so create some difference in the output for S1 and Pro variants. It is clearly reflected in its acceleration.

Ola is also making it Hypercharger network to charge your Ola electric scooter faster. Here you can charge 50% of the battery in just 18 minutes.

Ola S1 claims that It can go up to 121 Km in one charge and Ola S1 Pro can fly up to 181 Km in a charge. The range of these scooters is good.

Brakes

Ola has provided good quality brakes for its electric scooters, Both models S1 and S1 Pro have the same set of brakes.

In the front, it has a 220 mm disc and in the rear, it has a 180 mm disc. With this braking setup, Ola has provided a CBS system which is a combo braking system that really helps to make the scooter more stable at times of hard braking.

CBS (combo braking system) is standard for both of the variants of Ola S1 and S1 Pro.
